Newable is ranked the 33rd Best Large Company to work for in London, and 135th in the UK!
We are absolutely thrilled to be named by Best Companies as the 33rd Best Large Company in London and the 135th in the UK. We’re committed to providing a great place to work for our employees, and this result shows that our employees agree!
Every year, we aim to be recognised as an organisation that cares about doing things right, values its people, and understands the importance of a truly engaged workforce.
Why the Best Companies programme?
We engage with Best Companies, a national recognition programme which sets the standard for workplace engagement and employee wellbeing. The Best Companies survey, which is strictly confidential and anonymous, enables Newable to measure, recognise and improve levels of workplace engagement.
This year, we were awarded the ‘One to watch’ award and were ranked the 135th Best Large Company to work for in the UK and 33rd in London; a result we are all really pleased about. Throughout the years engaging with Best Companies, Newable has steadily climbed the charts by steadily improving the working lives of our people and teams. For example, in 2018, we moved to a new fit-for-purpose open plan workspace near Barbican station which supports innovation and networking in the office. Our HR team runs one-to-one sessions with individuals to check in on how they are and provide personalised support. The Fuelling Ambition Inside programme offers career coaching sessions, networking opportunities and workshops on topics selected by employees. Every employee is invited to a drop in session with Newable CEO, Chris Manson, to provide the opportunity to give open and honest feedback and ideas. The annual summer and Christmas parties also gives employees the opportunity to connect and relax with colleagues.
However, we don’t want to stop at number 33 in London. We want to climb the rankings even more and to help support this, we have recently introduced a new and improved benefits package to provide our employees with better training opportunities, greater mental health and wellbeing support, private health insurance and their birthdays off too!
To ensure that the benefits introduced meet our employees’ expectations, we chose once more to give “employee voice” a critical role in the process.
“Employee voice” is how employees communicate their views to their employer and influence matters that affect them at work. It helps build open and trusting relationships between an employer and its biggest asset: its people.
We involved our staff in the decision-making process by running a company-wide staff benefit and flexible/hybrid working survey at the beginning of the year. This was an excellent opportunity for colleagues to express ideas, concerns and perspectives on the hybrid working proposal, as well as benefits they would like to see introduced at Newable.
Looking forward
This accreditation supports Newable’s long-term ambitions to achieve a top 10 Best Companies ranking.
“We are pleased to announce that Newable Ltd scored a two star rating in the FY22 Best Companies results. We are committed to being a top 1% employer by providing an excellent place to work where employees are happy, supported and able to develop both professionally and personally. The results demonstrate we’re on the right tracks and we look forward to continuing to improve in the next results!’
